NBA GWAGWALADA BRANCH JOINS NBA GARKI IN ADVANCING PATIENTS’ RIGHTS AND SAFETY

The Nigerian Bar Association, Gwagwalada Branch (Eagle Bar), participated today, 18th September 2026, in the Patients’ Rights & Safety Awareness/Sensitisation Campaign organised by the Medical and Health Law Committee, NBA Garki Branch, Abuja, in commemoration of World Patient Safety Day 2026. Held at the FCT College of Nursing Sciences, Gwagwalada, the programme was themed “Safe Care for Noncommunicable Diseases”, with the slogan “Safe Care for Life.” The occasion was graced by the Chairman of NBA Garki Branch, the Chairman and members of the Medical and Health Law Committee, as well as the Chairman of NBA Gwagwalada Branch, N. D. Abdusalam, Esq., some members of the Branch Executive Committee and other members of the Branch. It was a remarkable and impactful event, providing a valuable platform for engagement on patients’ rights, healthcare safety and the role of law in promoting safe and responsible healthcare delivery. The Branch commends the organisers for this laudable initiative and appreciates the opportunity to participate in a programme dedicated to promoting safe care and the protection of patients’ rights.
